Hi everyone! I weighed-in this past Sunday. We have good news this time– I lost 1.9lbs bringing me down to 147.0lbs!
When I first started gaining weight from the medication, it was originally a lower dose and it brought me from my stable 135lbs to 145lbs (we didn’t connect the dots between the medicine and the weight gain until we increased the dose and I gained another 30lbs almost overnight), so we’re almost at that milestone. After the med was increased was when it brought me up to what once hit 171lbs. I was more stably at 168.8lbs, so that’s what I use for reference of total weight I’ve lost.
So, total weight loss as of 10/29/23 is 21.8lbs. If you want to go for the 171lbs, it’s 24lbs down, which is honestly much more satisfying to see. What do you all think I should base my total weight loss on? The highest I weighed, or the weight I was holding steady at before I started my weight loss journey?
Looking ahead– Before the weight gain I was a steady 135lbs with no diet or exercise. If I made that my goal weight, I’d only be 12lbs away. But I was never happy at that weight and want to get down to 125lbs, which means I need to lose another 22lbs, and that seems really daunting. (My doctor is okay with my goal weight of 125lbs as it is considered a healthy weight for my height and 135lbs is considered a bit high).
My doctor just increased my dose to 7.5, so hopefully I’ll start losing more weight faster. Currently, I’m losing between 1-3lbs a week. Unless I have a bad week and lose under a pound.
I’m getting extremely bored of grilled chicken and sweet potatoes. Does anyone have any easy low calorie/low carb dinners? Let me know in the comments.
