What are my future travel plans…there are so many. I travel around twice a year, but recently only to Jamaica. I’d really like to expand and try different places. I definitely suffer from wanderlust, so there’s quite a few places I want to go, but I’ll just talk about my top three.
Number one on my list is England. I’ve always wanted to go there since I was a little girl. I have no idea why, maybe some kind of past life thing. But I want to do all of the tourist-y stuff in London. Then I want to go to Brighton and see the band stand, the pier, Brighton’s miniature version of the London Eye, and visit The Lanes. The Lanes are a shopping district with little boutiques, big retail stores, and restaurants and cafes. I also want to try so many food places including Boho Gelato in Brighton, Nando’s in any part of England, and Crumbs and Doilies in London (and many more).
Next up in England is Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare town). I’ve always had a thing for Shakespeare. My friends in high school used to joke that I was Shakespeare in a past life because I never had a problem translating any of his works. I’d love to see the history of this town. Then I also want to visit a smaller town like Wiltshire just to see small town life in action.
Number two on my list is Greece. Athens, Santorini, and Mykonos are the top three places on my list there. I’ve always loved Greek Mythology- the original stories all the way up to Percy Jackson, so I would love to see the ruins and all the history that Athens holds. I’d want to do Athens first then travel to the two islands for some R&R.
Number three on my list is the Bahamas. This was bumped up on my list only recently because I found out you can swim with the wild pigs! Who doesn’t want to do that!? (I’m sure a ton of people don’t want to do that, but I love pigs and it seems like an incredible experience to me.) Plus, I’m a sucker for a relaxing beach vacation, and I’ve heard the beaches are beautiful and the people are incredible. That’s why I return to Jamaica twice a year—the people. Over the years, they’ve become like family.
Are any of these on your bucket list? Let me know in the comments! If they’re not, let me know where you want to go and why.
