Let’s get down to business…to defeat the Huns… just kidding. Let’s really get down to business: I mentioned in my last post that my current weight is 170lbs. I failed to mention, however, that I’m 5’2, which makes a big difference when comparing weights.
I started off in a size 26 pants from Abercrombie and now I don’t even fit in a size 30 “Curve Love” from there. I gave up trying after that size because I was just too frustrated with it and myself.
Notoriously always the skinny friend, I was now just… not.
Even when I was able to fit in the size 26 jeans (at 135lbs), I wanted to lose 10lbs. Now, I just feel overwhelmed with the amount of weight I have to lose to get down to 125lbs—45lbs! If you’re wondering how I gained the weight, go back to my first post to find out the whole story.
Anyway, enough with the numbers. Let’s talk about the hopefully miracle drug Mounjaro. Day 1 I had no cravings and not really any hunger pains.
Now on day 2, I’m not having cravings, but sitting at my desk at work after the holiday weekend is giving me the munchies, and I’m experiencing some grumbly tummy noises. I ate a banana with no luck at filling myself up.
I’m thinking I need to get a low-calorie protein drink. A friend recommended Premier Protein. He says it fills him up for most of the day and is only 160 calories per serving. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Leave them in the comments!
On the menu tonight is lemon pepper chicken breast, string beans, and a sweet potato. Hopefully, that fills me up because I am a notorious nighttime snacker. I probably eat almost a day’s worth of calories after dinner on a normal day between high calorie snacks like cookies and bowls of sugary cereal. This snacking obviously has to stop.
What’s most frustrating is that I used to be able to have dessert and my nighttime snacks and maintain a steady 135lbs. Now, I’m plateaued at 170lbs.
I’m not sure when I’m going to do my first weigh in. I don’t want to obsess over it and do it every day. Plus, I think it will be more rewarding to see a larger amount than just half a pound at a time (wishful thinking). I think I may do once a week. How often are you all weighing in? Let me know in the comments!
And lay off the nighttime munchies!
